Technical support staff from Adobe have directly confirmed with me that they are not focusing on creating a fix to patch 2021 into Monterey, but instead are working to get PSE 2022 working with Monterey. Not only is that OS just about the worst, most buggy system I have ever encountered, but it will not work with PSE. I would, as a result of this painful exercise, strongly caution anyone using PSE 2021 or 2022 on a Mac to NOT install Monterey. Once you see the Settings (Preference) popup, click Yes in order to clear it. This is done in order to force the Preference (Settings) prompt to appear. Granted, a full clean install and wiping the hard drive is a pretty drastic move, but nothing else seemed to be working. Next, relaunch the app press and hold Shift + Ctrl + Alt (on Windows) or Shift + Command + Option (on macOS). To clear it, I press Ctrl +Alt+ Del to open task manager and find Adobe Photoshop is showing once or sometimes twice in the Background Processes. Select DWORD (32-bit Windows) or QWORD (64-bit Windows). Maybe one in 10 times, I right click on a photo, select open with Photoshop and nothing happens. Go to HKEYLOCALMACHINE, go to SYSTEM, go to CurrentControlSet, go to Control, and go to GraphicsDrivers. This will open up the registry editor window. I then upped to Big Sur (iOS 11.6) and both FCPx and PSE 2022 seem to be running without issue. Simply open the Run command from the Start menu and type in ‘regedit’. ![]() Sometimes also when just touching the canvas. Just touching the screen with 2 fingers and Photoshop crashes. I initially downgraded to Catelina (iOS 10.15) but discovered that Final Cut Pro X will not install on that earlier system. I'm not able to use Photoshop 2022 with touch gestures. After suffering through several days of Monterey (and the constant crashes of both Photoshop Elements 20), I made the decision to completely wipe my system (iMac 5k Retina, 27-inch, 2017 3.8 Ghz Intel with 40 GB). ![]() I guess that's why Photoshop can't get the correct profile of the monitor.Good morning all. Known issues in this article: macOS compatibility. So I went through everything, turning on/off computer, printer, updating drivers etc. I needed to print a file that I last printed last year and couldn't. If you encounter issues not already documented here, report them to the Photoshop community. You can also try launching Photoshop directly & then disabling the option to Use Graphics Processor from Photoshop by going to Preferences, then Performance. ![]() ![]() Disable problematic plugins, reset the Photoshop font cache, and delete app preferences to fix the issue. Please ensure you have all available Windows updates installed on the computer. There are several Win32 API functions to get monitor profiles, but among them, the GetICMProfile and EnumICMProfiles functions have a problem that does not work properly on Windows 11. If Photoshop keeps crashing when you open or saves files, this indicates something’s conflicting with the app. Manually remove ALL your plugins, extensions, preferences, temp files, etc from these folders (Windows users): C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions. Photoshop call for display profile on Windows 11, the background and info about an forthcoming fix After a lot of troubleshooting and installing PS on another computer, this is what worked for me: Uninstall Photoshop completely. Heres some background on windows 11 issues. This may be totally unconnected, but there have been issues with W11 and ICC display profiles, its worth updating W11 to the version described here to see if it helps:
